Andrew R. Binder's primary research interest lies in public perceptions of controversial science issues and how they influence subsequent behaviors and attitudes, especially concerning public policy and politics. His master's thesis explored the effects of mass communication and interpersonal discussion on public concern for global warming. Other interests include the social amplification of risk and science & technology studies. In Spring 2008, he was accorded an Honorable Mention in the National Science Foundation's Graduate Research Fellowship Program. For more information, visit Binder's website.
