Shah Named Hamel Faculty Fellow

Dhavan Shah, Maier-Bascom Professor in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication, has been named a Hamel Faculty Fellow by the College of Letters and Science. This five year award was funded by a gift of $500,000 from two of our most generous benefactors, George and Pamela Hamel. The award was based on consideration of the research, undergraduate teaching, graduate mentoring, and outreach of faculty who received tenure within the last ten years. Nine other professors in the College of Letters and Science were also named to this first class of Hamel Fellows.
