Graduate Degree Program Information & Requirements

The School of Journalism and Mass Communication offers three graduate degree programs: a Professional Track M.A. program, a Concepts M.A. program and a Ph.D. in Mass Communication offered in conjunction with the Department of Life Sciences Communication.

The professional track M.A. program: Focused on students intending to pursue professional opportunities after earning their degree.

The concepts M.A. program: Intended for students with an academic/research focus who plan to either immediately move on to or later pursue a Ph.D.

The Ph.D. program: One of the most respected programs in the country focused on Mass Communication.
