Finding an Internship

In the latest survey of recent undergraduate degree recipients, 93 percent had completed at least one internship before earning their degree. Many had done more – and all agreed that practical experience was vital toward getting a job in the field.

Moreover, internship is a great way to explore a field and determine whether it is a good fit with your personal interests.

The J-School offers a variety of services to help students in their internship search. In addition to the resources listed below, we encourage students to make an appointment for a personal resume and cover letter review and to discuss internship options that will help them work toward a career they will find personally satisfying.

J697: Internship credit: Declared journalism undergraduate majors may earn credit if their internship meets credit guidelines and they are interning at least 10 hours per week.
